Finally Nokia’s working – Nokia 5800 Xpress Music.
Nokia is now even more serious to match the iphone. I instantly thought of the iphone when I saw the new Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. Damn! It’s definitely an eye candy. But of course more than its stylish look, 5800 has the outstanding features which just might give the iphone a bump!
The first touch screen model among Nokia’s Xpress Music series, the 5800 surely has the specs and features to instantly become a hot item in the mobile market today. Looking at its specs, I find it as the most “complete” phone from Nokia ever.
Some features and specifications:
3.2 inch touch screen display (640×360)
3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps
GPS with Nokia Maps 2.0
WiFi 802.11 b/g
3.15MP autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual flash (2048×1536 pixels)
secondary camera for video calls
Pre-loaded with an 8GB microSD card (max 16GB)
81MB internal memory
Proximity Sensor (auto turn-off)
Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate
Handwriting recognition
Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
Stereo FM radio with RDS
TV Out
3.5mm audio output jack
On top of that, this baby is said to be priced at P18k (~400 USD) with 8GB microSD card. That’s really something to ponder on considering iphone 3g is at P40-P45k with 18GB card. Plus, in terms of the features, I did some search and found out that nokia 5800 has the edge over the iphone. But of course, it will never surpass the pride and class that an iphone owner has. *wink
